Hansard Society Launch coronavirus Statutory instruments dashboard
It aims to highlight key facts and figures about the Statutory Instruments (SIs) being produced using these powers in the Coronavirus Act 2020 and other Acts of Parliament. This includes monitoring of which departments are producing the most instruments and the impact on civil liberties
Conspiracy theories fuel non compliance with virus public health advice
Research by Centre for Countering Digital Hate Kings College London. They conducted a public survey of over 900 people on the impact of three conspiracy theories about the virus and actions taken in following public health advice and found those who believed them were less likely to follow social distancing measures. The Oxford COVID-19 Government Response Tracker (OxCGRT)
aims to track and compare government responses to the coronavirus outbreak worldwide. This resource will continue to be updated throughout the crisis.it includes API data for researchers. This working paper describes the methodology and 19 measures sued which include school closures and fiscal instruments. It will enable stringency to be mapped with infection rates.
Maundy Thursday traditions
It is the Christian holy day falling on the Thursday before Easter. It commemorates the Washing of the Feet (Maundy)

In the UK special coins are usually distributed by the monarch. The Royal Mint has details on the coins which are the value of the monarch's age! The official Royal Family website has details of the service and some old video clips including one from 1952
What happens in other parts of the world?
In Malta Holy Thursday is known as Ħamis ix-Xirka (Communion Thursday) and there is a tradition of visiting 7 churches. In Germany a special dish is eaten called Gründonnerstagssuppe — a green soup made of spinach, parsley, green onions, cucumber and dill. Green foods specifically are eaten because the word green is associated with grief or weeping.
