Florence Nightingale
International Nurses' Day is celebrated around the world each year on 12 May, the anniversary of Florence Nightingale's birth. Nurses' Day provides an opportunity to mark the contribution of nursing staff and reflect on the vital work they do everyday.

New edition of the Verification Handbook launched – fight fake news!
The book is published by the European Journalism Centre and supported by Craig Newmark Philanthropies and is now now in its third edition.
It is intended to enable equips journalists with knowledge and advice on how to check the authenticity of social media accounts, bots, private messaging apps, information operations, deep fakes, as well as other forms of disinformation and media manipulation.

women Activists of East London 1880-2020
A great website new from ShareUk
Women Activists of East London' was funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund and looked to explore the history of women-led activism in the East London boroughs of Hackney, Tower Hamlets and Waltham Forest. It focused on the themes of gender violence, the labour movement, racism, environment and peace movements between 1888 and 2016. The project captured thirty-seven interviews with women activists and published a report, 'Women Activists of East London: A study of radical female history in Tower Hamlets, Hackney and Waltham Forest' to accompany the interviews.
It includes an app to a walking tour.Plus links to online learning resources related to the themes.
