The Legacies of British Slave-ownership project

Thought it timely to revisit this resource which gave me an academic understanding of the extent and long-term embeddedness of the history of slave ownership in British Society.
It has been developed at UCL in two phases since 2009: (1) the Legacies of British Slave-ownership project and (2) the structure and significance of British Caribbean slave-ownership 1763-1833. Users to the site can explore the ownership of plantations and estates in the British Caribbean. Look at maps and search databases for information on the names of slave owners, the commercial impact on investment in industrial infrastructure, links of slave owners with British politics, and the impact on cultural and physical environments (buildings/ monument/ statues)
