Social distancing in the time of memes
Great project from Dr Heidi Campbell, funded by the Melbern G. Glasscock Center for Humanities Research based at Texas A&M University which examines how social distancing was presented in memes during the covid 19 pandemic. It has a gallery of images collected. from March 16 to June 15 2020 via a Facebook page. Background and methodology of the project is provided on the website as well as an ebook of the findings and themes.

Stockholm International Peace Research Institute maintains quality databases which include:
Multilateral Peace Operations Database –contains information on all peace operations conducted since 2000.not currently online but the website has research papers and news.

Gender-Sensitive Indicators for Early Warning of Violence and Conflict: A Global Framework.
the International Foundation for Electoral Systems in partnership with the United States Department of State Bureau of Conflict and Stabilization Operations, have developed a framework which aims to address gaps and build on existing efforts to mainstream gender in conflict early warning systems. The report contains the assessment of existing indicators, a literature review and report on and materials used in a pilot study in Nigeria.

Mapping Loss: Communities in War and Peace
Site is aiming to create a broader Uk focus but currently centres on the Lancaster region including:
Reveille: Lancaster War Memorials: Created by Lancaster Military Heritage Group, this site records details of war memorials in the Lancaster district and provides details about the 2,700 plus men and women named on them.
Streets of Mourning: A collaboration between LMHG and Lancaster University, this site draws on the Reveille: Lancaster War Memorials material, to provide details of the over 1,000 “Men of Lancaster” killed in the First World War.
Lancaster in the Great War: Community Memories: This site takes stories and memories of Lancaster in the First World War. It draws on a combination of the Reveille material and the research, memories and artefacts donated by the general public.

fascinating economic and social history website maintained by anthropologist, Nicolette Makovicky, and historian, David Hopkin. Covers all aspects of hand lacemaking from 18th-20th century in Europe. It is building a database of research and museum collections, a network of researchers and has news and research articles with links to related literature .
