University students and mental health 

UCAS published a report Starting the Conversation this week which explored mental ill health in university applications. 

There has been a 450% increase in declarations in the last decade but despite this UCAS estimates 49% of those effected did not declare it. And there were variations in who declared Female were more likely to declare than male 

  

Conflict Trends Update and Global Peace Index Launch 2021 

The latest report published annually by the Produced by the Institute for Economics and Peace (IEP). Find out which nation is graded as the most peaceful. Full methodology provided on the website

 Collective Intelligence for Sustainable Development Getting Smarter Together 

New recent UN report  

Includes over  277 case studies covering a wide range of collective intelligence methods which were mapped and categorized by most relevant SDG. Case studies were drawn from Nesta, Case studies, UNDP Accelerator Labs and literature searches 

 

Social media in peace mediation: a practical framework
A new paper by UN DPPA Mediation Support Unit and Swiss Peace which explores the role of social media in armed conflict. It includes practical examples of how it can be used for communication on how to prevent, manage and resolve conflict 
 

  

WTO’s General Council ePortal (GCeP)
Includes information on all issues raised and discussed by the World Trade Organisation since 1995 with links where possible to associated documents and decisions, either issued as separate documents or recorded in the minutes of the General Council.  

 

WTO Trade Cost Index
New from the WTO,  The WTO Trade Cost Index uses estimates of bilateral trade costs for 43 economies and 31 sectors between 2000 - 2018 to illustrate the evolution of trade costs over time, the incidence of trade costs across economies and sectors  for different household income groups, by gender, firms size and skill groups ( as well as identify the main factors determining trade costs  

 

Humanitarian Encyclopedia
created by the Geneva Centre of Humanitarian Studies . Currently includes commonly 129 used humanitarian concepts . It also aims to provide crowd sourced resources and links to online learning resources for humanitarians
