Open South America Portal (IOM)
IOM, the International Organization for Migration, recently launched this platform which is designed for migrants and aid actors to provide up to date information on travel in the region during the time of Covid. It includes country information on current border restrictions, quarantine requirements, and COVID-19 testing for migrants and travellers with links to national policies.

One measure is the Times Higher education ranking which has just released its 2022 ranking.

More children in the Uk are unhappy with their lives
according to the latest annual report from the Children’s society which measures happiness and wellbeing in over 2,000 children aged 10-17. It now has data for the last decade. Topics include family life, appearance, friendships and more. Full methodology is on the website.

Interesting historical site from the BBC which is based on oral histories
It is curated by Dr. Jamie Medhurst - Aberystwyth University, with contributions by Dr. Siân Nicholas - Aberystwyth University, Dr. Anthony McNicholas - University of Westminster, and Professor Richard Haynes - University of Stirling, under the aegis of Professor David Hendy and Dr. Alban Webb - University of Sussex. Sub sections include : Saturday night entertainment, natural history programmes, Eastenders and popular drama. It contains interviews plus galleries of photos.
Just launched by the Archives of Magdalen college University of Oxford to commemorate alumni Lawrence of Arabia. It contains materials on his links to the college and Oxford as well as materials relating to the archive of D. G. Hogarth (1862-1927), former Magdalen Fellow, archaeologist, and close associate of Lawrence in the Middle East. And materials from Lawrence’s official biographer, Jeremy Wilson (1944–2017). The site has images, online exhibitions and guides to further research. It considers his life, mythology and contribution to the history of the Middle East.
FLAME Economic history of coinage
a Princeton University-based project on the medieval economy which focuses on CE 325-725 in Western Afro-Eurasia looking in particular at coins.
Just completed is its circulation section. The site has data and images of thousands of coins in circulation as well as information on minting and exchange . In all a site which will offer insight into international travel and exchange in medieval times
Designed by NASA’s Sea Level Change Team using data on future sea level rises from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). it aims to provide the public with statistics and visualisations of the impact of climate change on sea levels up to 2050. It has scenarios relating to changes in emissions that show clearly what might be achieved by some changes in national policies and behaviours
