a resource from the Centre for Economic Data and Analysis (CEDA), Ashoka University India examines economic stimulus packages using an index of over 166 nations

Black British Histories collection of key historical articles from History Workshop Journal via the OUP website. Materials published from 1987 onwards covering specific historic events and the approach towards studying black history

Digitally Re-Mapping Ireland’s Ordnance Survey Heritage 

An Irish Research Council and Arts and Humanities Research Council co- funded  

fascinating project which aims to link the original the First Edition Six-Inch Maps with diaries and memoirs of those who created them in the 1820s-1830s 

information on the progress of the project will be posted on the website 

  

 

 

Visual Resources of the Middle East   

Part of Yale University Open Community Collections  

Provides free access to a wealth of resources including manuscript images, photographs and prints. 

Highlights include: Yale University Art Gallery (YUAG) manuscript paintings from early modern Iran and India, Mid Yale Center for British Art and the Lewis Walpole Library have accounts and images from British travellers from the 18th Century . Sterling Memorial Library offers visual resources from books and periodicals published in Persian, Arabic, and Turkish

Measures bank for Children and Young Peoples Wellbeing 

What Works Centre for Wellbeing has a developed a metrics framework to measure the subjective wellbeing of children and young people in the Uk. This along with a guide can be  downloaded from the website. The bank of measures is being developed through a Rapid Evidence Assessment (REA) methodology to identify, collate and appraise the quality of existing measures. 

 

Civil War era maps  

Free access online via the National archives of the  US government to civil war era maps compiled by the  Army Corps of Engineers have been digitized and are available to view and download from the National Archives Catalogue. The records are part of the Civil Works Map File series from Record Group 77, Records of the Office of the Chief of Engineers. 

 

 

All the Libraries website  

is a project, maintained by Ruth Beale and Simon Elvins. It maps in one place 

800 publicly accessible libraries in London's 32 boroughs, including those closed in the last 10 years. They include public libraries and specialist archives open to the public
