Women’s Resilience to Disasters (WRD) Knowledge HubLaunched by UN Women in partnership with the Australian Government this new site aims to spotlight research and resources relating to  gender-responsive disaster risk reduction and resilience.

The WRD Library provides access to over 1,400 key resources (including from PreventionWeb and UN Women) for building women's resilience to disasters and threats. 

 

She Stands for Peace, new site created by The UN Office to the African Union (UNOAU) with the support of the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Government of Sweden. It will provide information and access to resources  on UN Security Council Resolution 1325 on the Women, Peace and Security agenda in relation to Africa. This will include African union and other peacekeeping resources and a collection of podcasts

Salford Digital Archives  

From the university of Salford a gateway to their great online archive resources and catalogues . 

Highlights include photographic archives of Salford and the midlands. Over 80 A photographs from the collections of the Working Class Movement Library, dated c1910-c1980. Topics include strikes and labour disputes, the Manchester Communist Party, Spanish Civil War and women workers. Material is being continuously added 

 

Finally the Hitch hikers Guide to the Galaxy game. Created in the 1980s and written by the author see this text based game
