The Ukraïnica platform has been created by the Ukrainian Research Institute, Harvard University.it aims to create a site to encourage the teaching of Ukrainian history and culture through offering a space for the exchange of syllabi and course materials . Users can browse time periods and subject areas and get some suggested reading lists. These include books, literature films and texts about Ukraine and or by Ukrainian author.  Users to the site can register to store their own lists. Topics include ethnography, literature, politics.

Latest new exhibition from Europeana 

it forms part of the the project Europeana Subtitled, which aims to increase the use of audiovisual media heritage by both professional and non-professional audiences . It includes examples of propaganda cinema and nationalist newspapers from 20th Century Europe. Sections include: Radio broadcasting in West Berlin. Propaganda in the 1967-1974 Greek dictatorship; The 1990s in Slovenia. Illustrated essay with images taken from Europe’s national libraries.

This free online tool is designed to help researchers analyse their current activities and prioritise future areas of development. It has a grid with three main areas:  Research, Engagement and Leadership/Collegiality.  There is a good introduction on the university website I

Energy Crisis Tracker: Real-Time Statistics on Europe's Gas Supplies - DER SPIEGEL 

Designed for the German public but of value to other Europeans. Includes data on How much natural gas is flowing through pipelines to Europe? How full are gas storage facilities? And how much gas are Germans consuming? There is also German price data and information on dependency of Russian supplies. Methodology is provided.

The English Civil War 'Loss Accounts' for Warwickshire 

transcribed by a team of volunteers directed by Dr Maureen Harris in a National Lottery project . 

The 'Loss Accounts' itemize the financial and material losses sustained by local inhabitants  in Warwickshire through Parliamentary activity before and during the First English Civil War between 1642 and 1646. They are taken from local record offices    

Medieval and Renaissance Women project  digitised manuscripts 

A great project funded by Joanna and Graham Barker which is in the process of digitising many of its manuscripts, rolls and charters connected with women from Britain and across Europe, and made between 1100 and 1600. Examples include: 

Christine de Pizan, Le Livre des faits d'armes et de chevalerie 

Prayer books and marvellous illustrations
